Active Spaces is a funding programme for community owned and community managed assets, such as community centres, village halls, churches, parks and other shared facilities that people already use. The programme is designed to support community-led change rooted in local places, and to strengthen the resilience and cohesion of communities affected by the development of Hinkley Point C, through support that endures through and beyond the build.
In order to help us understand your project or idea we ask you to submit a 200 word statement outlining what you would like to do and its connections to the impacts of Hinkley Point C.
Your enquiry will be reviewed by a HPC Community Fund Programmes Manager and they will be in touch to discuss your project and the application process.
In order for an application to be considered a project proposal must be:
- for the benefit of a community or communities in the administrative county of Somerset
- for communities who are experiencing residual or intangible impacts as a result of Hinkley Point C or its associated developments or who wish to access its opportunities.
- relevant to the impact or opportunity you have identified.
If you are unsure about whether your project fits our criteria, have difficulties completing the form, or have any other queries please contact Amelia Thompson, Senior Programmes Manager, on 01749 344949 or via e-mail amelia.thompson@somersetcf.org.uk.
