Bishop Fox's Educational Fund                                          Uniform Grant Application 2026

Notes for applicants 
Please check that you meet the relevant eligibility criteria before completing the application form:
  • Your child will be entering Year 7 at an eligible secondary school in September 2026 
  • Your family is in financial need and is eligible for free school meals, pupil premium or universal credit
All applications will be verified with your child's school (primary, secondary or both) and by submitting this application you are consenting to us contacting them and sharing the information you have provided in your application.   

If your application is successful you will receive a letter detailing the amount awarded. You will then be required to present the letter at the South West Schoolwear Shop in Taunton (or another approved provider if applicable) who will supply uniform to an equivalent amount.

Please note award notifications will not be issued until w/c 13th July 2026, so unfortunately we won't be able to tell you if you have been successful until then.

  • I am applying for a one-off grant from the Bishop Fox's Educational Fund and if successful it is my responsibility to deal with any changes to state benefits or income tax liabilities arising from the grant.
  • If a grant is awarded it is based on the information I have given in this form and in any supporting documents I provide. If any of this information is found to be knowingly incorrect, I may be ineligible to apply for future grants.
  • If my circumstances change and this is relevant to my application or grant if awarded, I will contact Somerset Community Foundation immediately.
  • I will be contacted by email regarding this application and any grant awarded and I will regularly check my emails and junk mail folder. This will include confirming receipt of any grant payment.
